When and where is the Pear Fair this year?
This year's Pear Fair will be held on Saturday, September 21st from 11am-5pm. The location is the same as it's always been - under the big tent on the corner of 22nd and College Streets in Cedar Falls. That's Cedar Falls Municipal Lot G, we're right next to Octopus!
How long has the Pear Fair been around? How many people attend Pear Fair?
We're thrilled to say this year is our eleventh birthday! The Pear Fair was first founded in September of 2010. Pear Fair attendance has grown each year to 2000+ in 2023.
Who runs this show?
Thanks for asking! Mohair Pear puts on the Pear Fair every year. It's a college town boutique on College Hill in Cedar Falls. Yes, we carry a full selection of locally handmade and pop culture gifts. We also carry new vinyl, record players, select vintage vinyl, posters, incense, tapestries, Manic Panic, etc. And we carry a full selection of body jewelry and have two professional piercers on staff. What kinds of things can you buy at the Pear Fair?
Our vendors bring a wide variety of handmade goods. In the past, we've seen everything from turban headbands to wallets, natural soaps and body scrubs to beautiful dreamcatchers, paintings and prints to ceramics, knitted scarves to soy candles, and so much more. Come check it out for yourself this year!
Can I bring my kids to the Pear Fair?
Yes, please do! The Pear Fair is a family friendly event and we love to see all faces, young and old and in between, in attendance!
Can I bring my pet to the Pear Fair?
Of course - but please, only bring friendly and well-trained, well-behaved pets and keep them on a leash at all times. Please keep in mind that not all people are comfortable with animals, so keep your furry friend by your side and on your mind.

Can I be a vendor this year?

Is there an application fee to be a vendor?
Nope, there's no fee to apply! However, if you are accepted, you're required to pay a $80 booth fee by 8/21/24.
Do I get to keep all my profits if I'm a vendor?
Yes, you do! Please make sure you pay your taxes, though.
